When I started LITTLE BIRD & CO. what I had in mind was to support the veterinary community. As a solo practitioner in exotic medicine, what I thought would help was to solve problems that led to my burnout. In my case I thought establishing a care foundation for the underserved communities and creatures that we care for could fix a lot.
WHAT I HAD FORGOTTEN:
How underserved, we, (THE VET COMMUNITY) are!
How we often do not get to use our vacation time!
How we are CRIPPLED BY DEBT
How we are OVERWHELMED BY EXPECTATIONS CHANGING
How we are SHORT STAFFED WITHOUT ANY RELIEF in sight
HOW SUICIDE is affecting OUR PROFESSION
So maybe, I thought, it's time to do something. In the last year I've been checkin' in with some veterinary professionals, and goddamn if we all don't need a vacation!Our current offerings for trade- MN Vet B&B
